artist statement

My work explores the relationship between art and human connection - with self and others.

It is heavily influenced by nature, diverse cultures and emotional states. These are the figurative threads that weave in texture and meaning.

I have always been fascinated by how much we all affect each other...and yet how many of us may still feel quite alone in one way or another. However, art is a universal language. If we allow it to, it can help us be more present in the moment. It can speak to us and for us.
